East Ruston village sits between the East Coast and
the Broads National Park and is renowned for its
Common, which is unusual with its mix of grazing land,
fen and lakes. The village is also home to the
celebrated East Ruston Vicarage Garden with its huge
variety of planting and excellent tea shop, one of the
owners Alan Grey is a frequent and entertaining guest
speak on Radio Norfolk's gardening programme - The
Garden Party. The village has beautiful surrounding
countryside with quiet lanes which are ideal for
walking and cycling. The excellent sandy beaches of the east coast are minutes away. The capital of the Broads - Wroxham is five miles' distance and Stalham Staithe 3 miles, hire a day boat or enjoy some excellent wildlife at How Hill Trust on the River Ant with its glorious wetlands, woodlands, windmills - all the W's!
